As of December 12, 2018 Sherwood Village will no longer be using the Regional Income Tax Agency (RITA Ohio) to file Village of Sherwood income tax returns and withholding's filings. The village has moved all records to the Village of Hicksville and will be using their tax administration now and for the foreseeable future. We are hoping for a flawless transition but please understand that there could be bumps along the way. Transferring the taxes to Hicksville unfortunately meant the Village will no longer be able to offer the ability to eFile. However, you can mail or take your returns to the Hicksville Tax department at 111 S Main St Hicksville, email hixtax@defnet.com, or fax them to 419-542-2018. Please note you must include the first page of your federal 1040 along with W2's and any schedules when filing.

If you have any questions you can either call the Sherwood Village Office at 419-899-2145, or Kim Forster of the Hicksville Tax Office at 419-542-8621.

Penalty and interest rates:  Effective January 1st, 2019, the penalty rate for late payment of taxes is 15%. Employer withholding payments not received timely will be subject to a penalty rate of 50%. The interest rate for tax year 2019 is 7%.

ATTENTION

Due to recent events Hicksville Village office will be limiting face to face contact.

If you have questions on filing please contact
